Experience
Ed's experience is exclusively in the area of probate law. For 15 months, Ed was a judicial intern at the Sacramento County Superior Court where he learned "behind the curtain" court operations and how to draft bench memos for the court. Ed worked for a veteran probate attorney before opening his own office to serve others. Before becoming an attorney, Ed served for 24 years as a Deputy Sheriff with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department and 3 1/2 years as a civilian employee with the Sacramento Police Department .
Our Team
Ed Fong, Attorney
Ed was born and raised in Sacramento. He attended John F. Kennedy High School and later graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Government and a minor in Criminal Justice. He graduated from Lincoln Law School with a JD. Ed served with distinction in local government working for such agencies as: The Sacramento Sheriff's Department, The Sacramento Police Department and The Elk Grove School District. He is a home town son with deep roots in Sacramento. Ed's father worked for over 25 years as one of Sacramento's favorite waiters at the famous Neptune's Table and the Coral Reef Restaurants. Ed's Grandfather, Sue Hong Fong, worked at the historical Mayflower Restaurant as a chef after settling in Sacramento over 95 years ago from Canton, China. Ed speaks Toisanese (Taishanese) and understands Cantonese. Ed is married to his wife Jenniffer and together they have two children. He enjoys sport shooting, golfing, tennis, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Shelly Der, Associate Attorney
Shelly is a Sacramento native, graduating from St. Francis High School and later graduating from the University of the Pacific. She continued her education, attending McGeorge School of Law and working in their Elder & Health Law clinic. During her spare time, she enjoys reading novels, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Jenniffer Bermudez Fong, Case Manager
Jenniffer was born in Sacramento and is proud to have been raised in the picturesque and quaint Sacramento River Delta Community of Hood, in Sacramento County. She attended Delta High School and graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Child Development. Raised with the formation of family being the priority, Jenniffer loves to spend most of her spare time with her children, family and friends. Jenniffer assists with the coordination of scheduling and execution of documents and assists the Case Manager.
